As we continue to expand our efforts to recognize transformative leadership and cultivate new changemakers in disability services, we’re inviting dedicated, mission-aligned individuals to join our Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to help strengthen inclusive communities by advancing leadership that reflects the diversity, innovation, and excellence of our field.
What We’re Looking For
We are particularly seeking Board candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Public Relations / Strategic Communications
- Marketing / Social Media
- Fundraising / Philanthropy
- Workforce Development / Leadership Training
- Product Launch Strategy / Sustainable Recurring Revenue Models
As the ANCOR Foundation evolves, we are especially interested in leaders who can help us build out a robust portfolio of revenue-generating initiatives. If you’ve helped launch products, scale programs, or develop sustainable funding models, your insight could be a game-changer as we begin a new chapter in our journey.
What’s the Commitment?
Term
3 years (with the opportunity to serve up to three consecutive terms).
Meetings
3 in-person and 3 virtual meetings annually (Note: Board members are responsible for travel costs to in-person meetings, typically held alongside ANCOR events.)
Engagement
Members participate actively in one or more committees, including:
- Executive Committee
- Fund Development Committee
- Leadership Recognition & Awards Committee
- Leadership Development Work Group
Support
All Board members are expected to make a personal annual contribution and help secure resources that fuel the Foundation’s mission.
How to Apply
Please write a letter of interest (maximum two pages) on your organization’s letterhead and email it as an attachment to Sasha Sencer by August 29, 2025.
Your letter should include:
- A brief bio (no resume or CV needed) and background on the organization you represent.
- Your history of engagement with ANCOR (e.g., service on committees, task forces, Boards, or other involvement).
- Why you’re interested in serving on the ANCOR Foundation Board of Directors.
- What you’ll bring to the Foundation’s mission to uplift, invest in, and unleash bold, inclusive leaders.
