Amber Corrieri

Amber Corrieri has spent more than 20 years leading in the nonprofit and civic world. Today, she serves as Chief Operating Officer at Mainstream Living, where she helps guide services that are inclusive, person-centered, and sustainable.

Amber’s path began in finance, but her heart led her to human services. She joined Mainstream Living in 2011 as Development Director, later became Director of Corporate Compliance, and stepped into her current leadership role in 2023. Along the way, she created a Risk Management department that strengthened the organization’s foundation and supports its future growth.

Her portfolio is wide-ranging—covering Human Resources, risk management, communications, property management, development, and compliance. Yet at the center of it all is her belief that strong operations make better lives possible.

Amber is also a trusted civic leader. Now serving her third term on the Ames City Council, she has helped shape community projects and policies for over a decade. She is a board member of the Ames Education Foundation, helped launch the Story County Housing Trust Fund, and has served with the Iowa Alliance for Boys and Girls Clubs, the Ames Economic Development Commission, Rotary Club of Ames, and the Ames Human Relations Commission.

Her leadership has been recognized across Iowa. She received the “Outstanding Young Iowan” award from the Iowa Jaycees and the “Difference Maker of the Year” award from The Ames Foundation for her role in building a Miracle League Field and Playground in Ames.

Amber holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Simpson College. She and her husband, Damien, live in Ames with their two children, Jordan and Isabella.
