About Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie Mayberry is a dedicated leader and advocate committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism. As Executive Director of GMS, she oversees a team of 140 employees and 135 contracted providers, ensuring that individuals in shared living arrangements across 14 counties in Maine receive the care, support, and opportunities they deserve. With 36 years of experience, Ann-Marie brings both professional expertise and personal passion to her work.

Her career began in New Hampshire, where she supported adolescents with Autism in a residential setting. Since then, she has been a respected voice in disability services and policy, serving on the MDSOAB Board of Directors and the ANCOR Board of Representatives. She also previously served on the MACSP Board of Directors, advocating for residential service providers. Her connection to this work is deeply personal—as a mother of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder and an aunt to a nephew with a traumatic brain injury, she understands firsthand the importance of high-quality, individualized support.

Ann-Marie is passionate about ensuring individuals with disabilities receive equal opportunities, high-quality care, and full inclusion in their communities. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with her family in her home state of Maine.
