About Megan

Meg Nachtwey is a mission-driven leader whose career has been defined by advancing inclusion and building strong, sustainable nonprofits. She serves as Chief Executive Officer at Welcome House, where she helps adults with developmental disabilities live with dignity, connection, and opportunity through residential, day program, and transportation services.

Meg’s relationship with Welcome House stretches back decades. She first joined the organization in 2012 as Director of Development, later becoming COO before stepping into her current role as CEO. Even earlier, in the late 1990s, she served on the Welcome House Board of Trustees—an experience that sparked her deep, ongoing connection to the mission.

Before joining Welcome House, Meg guided fundraising efforts for several Northeast Ohio nonprofits and worked as an independent consultant to strengthen development strategies for local organizations. She is known for her ability to pair operational excellence with compassion, always centering people and relationships in her leadership.

Beyond her professional work, Meg has been a committed leader in education and in her Chagrin Falls community, including serving as past president of the Chagrin Falls Educational Foundation. She earned her master’s degree in Nonprofit Organizations from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College.

Meg and her husband are the proud parents of four children, and she brings both her professional expertise and her lived experience as a parent into her role as CEO—leading with care, conviction, and heart.
