About Tina
Tina Brown has been passionate about supporting individuals with diverse needs since earning her Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a focus on High-Risk Youth from Metro State University in Denver, Colorado. Balancing her studies with raising two young sons, she began her career working in both juvenile justice and disability services, gaining firsthand experience in direct care, advocacy, and leadership.
Tina started at Youthtrack, working with high-risk youth in detention and treatment programs, and at Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC), where she supported individuals with I/DD. She progressed into leadership roles at both organizations, eventually focusing her career on disability services. Since 1996, she has been an integral part of DDRC, starting as a Direct Support Professional in group homes before moving into roles that supported individuals living independently. She later transitioned into residential program management, a role she has proudly held for over 26 years, advocating for choice, independence, and person-centered support.
Outside of her work in disability services, Tina co-founded a successful construction company, which continues to thrive. Though she has since stepped away from the business, she remains an entrepreneur at heart, always exploring new ideas. In her free time, she enjoys pursuing new ventures, spending time with loved ones, and embracing life’s next adventure.
Tina’s lifelong commitment to advocacy and empowerment continues to shape her work, ensuring that individuals with I/DD have the support and opportunities they need to live full, self-directed lives.
