About Uchechi
Uchechi Ukaoma is a dedicated leader in quality assurance and person-centered support, committed to ensuring excellence in service delivery and fostering collaborative environments for individuals with I/DD. As Quality Improvement Coordinator at National Children’s Center (NCC), Uchechi plays a key role in conducting incident investigations, overseeing audits and program file assignments, and chairing monthly Human Rights Committee meetings. Additionally, Uchechi supports new employee onboarding, ensuring a strong foundation for staff delivering high-quality care.
Before stepping into the Quality Improvement Coordinator role, Uchechi served as a House Manager, supervising over 40 Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) across six residential homes. A certified Person-Centered Thinking Coach, Uchechi is passionate about empowering teams, improving service outcomes, and promoting person-centered practices.
In free time, Uchechi enjoys reading, sewing, and watching sci-fi movies, bringing the same curiosity and creativity to professional and personal pursuits.
