The ANCOR Foundation is now accepting nominations to join our Board of Directors!
This is an exciting time to join the ANCOR Foundation. After our successful Included. Supported. Empowered. campaign, we continue to stay focused on working toward equity. Thus, a key priority for the Foundation has been supporting ANCOR’s diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) priority to ensure that more people from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented/marginalized populations are recognized as leaders and represented in leadership positions in our field and our association. So far, we have engaged in this work by:
  • Growing our Leadership Academy. Next year will be the first time two cohorts will be running concurrently, thus expanding the reach of this results-proven professional development opportunity.
  • We also launched and are financially supporting ANCOR’s first-ever Disability Services Case Competition. Over 100 HBCUs (historically Black colleges and universities), HSIs (Hispanic serving institutions), TCUs (tribal colleges and universities) and women’s colleges have been invited to participate. The goal of this competition is multi-fold: introduce Generation Z to our field, build workforce pipeline relationships with non-predominately white institutions, and engage with the next generation of thought leaders about how we can solve the workforce crisis.
Now, we are seeking high-energy volunteers to devote their time, expertise and relationships to ensure the success of the current and future Foundation initiatives to recognize current and past leaders and to develop future leaders through dynamic education and innovative practices.
The Foundation is soliciting statements of interest from ANCOR members interested in joining the Foundation Board through December 2, 2022. The Board composition reflects the needs of leadership over a cross-section of geographic, demographic, talent and expertise attributes. Thus, the Foundation is seeking candidates who have expertise in the following areas:
  • Public Relations / Strategic Communications
  • Marketing / Social Media
  • Fundraising
  • Workforce / Leadership Development
